There is an inscription and coat of arms engraved on the ball of the chandelier: “Bernhard Tielman von Hűckelhaven // Eltester der grosen Gűlde // Und Frau Anna Elisabeth von Hűckelhaven // Gebohrne Hoffstein 1766”. Hűckelhaven family also donated a chandelier to Bikeri St. Catherine’s evangelical lutheran church in 1766. Bikeri St. Catherine’s and Riga St. John’s chandeliers are different. Very similar chandelier was made for Valmiera St. Simon’s evangelical lutheran church in 1767. It is likely that the chandeliers of these churches were made in the same workshop or same master.
